Spring and Summer
Fresh blooms begin to fill the greenhouses and fields. And thousands of hanging baskets, potted flowers and plants come alive with beauty and color.
Fall
When the season turns, you’ll find potted mums in every color, pumpkins, hay bales and corn stalks. It’s a slow, rich beauty like the slowly changing leaves and temps.
Christmas
A magical and wonderful time of year at the farm as winter begins to settle in and we celebrate the season with trees, lights, décor and more.

Weeks before the greenhouses open every spring, the team is found potting, trimming and nurturing thousands of hanging baskets and pots so by early May the pots are overflowing with colors and blooms for the community to enjoy.
Some places belong to everyone. This is one of them.
After taking a cooperative studies class to finish his degree, Stan walked away convinced that selling this land to developers would be the wrong end to the right story. So he chose a different one. A cooperative owned by the families who already consider this place theirs, built to stay a working farm for the next 100 years.
The farm was always the community’s. Now it can be official.
For over two decades, this farm has been part of how Sun Prairie marks its seasons. Flowers in spring. Pumpkins in fall. Christmas trees in winter. People come back year after year. Not just for what’s growing, but for what the place feels like.
The story of how it became a cooperative starts with a box of flowers. Stan Hinkley started giving them away after his mother passed away. The tradition grew. Eventually it grew large enough that he needed a farm to keep up with it. What he found on Highway 19 was already something people loved. What he decided to do with it surprised even him.

COMING SOON Come in the back gates from 7 am – 10 am daily to enjoy a fresh-baked cinnamon roll and coffee at the farmhouse. Or in the evening from 5 pm – 8 pm for your choice of deep-dish cherry pie, carrot cake or ice cream served in Stanley’s Cup. All for only $7.
