What a magical time we had together cutting these flowers.
Stan is pictured above in the yellow Bloomin' Farm Cooperative shirt standing beside his lifelong friend Jimmy Makey.
Over 50 years ago, Jimmy and Stan were teammates with a great group of guys on the first national championship team for the men's hockey at the University of Wisconsin. Stan has often been quoted over the years as saying Jimmy Makey was a great goalie and the reason our team won the National Championship. And now today, he is even a better person, father and friend!!
Jimmy Makey and my college roommate, linemate and best friend, Gary Winchester, showed up over 50 years ago later to volunteer to help build the farm up and did the work of 10 guys and refused to take a penny for all they did.

Billy Reay Jr., famously the son of Chicago Blackhawk legendary Coach, Billy Reay, has been a spiritual advisor, leader and mentor, sharing his love for our Lord with Stan (& Jeri) and 4 other great friends in "the cheerful 6 pack".
Studying the Bible every week has helped Stan to enjoy the best in life and love!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!

Our teammates at UW were all great guys that we continue to love to this day.
Relocating log cabins and cutting down gigantic pine trees.
New greenhouse and loading dock, just as Danny Lothe suggested it should be. Danny is as good a friend as there is in the world. I will strive to be half as nice as he is.
